Prior to September 2013, we had no knowledge of childhood cancer. We knew nothing of the harsh treatments our 8 year old daughter was about to endure.
Getting through every procedure, every chemotherapy, every round of Proton Beam Therapy and every x-ray, CT and MRI scan was a small win for us. This is why we encourage anyone to ring a bell to celebrate every milestone they achieve: a stable scan, another round of treatment done, a birthday, or just because they feel like it!
Our Story
In 2013, our lives were turned upside down when our 8 year old daughter was diagnosed with Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma- a soft tissue cancer which mainly affects children. We travelled to Oklahoma for NHS funded Proton Beam Therapy- a form of radiotherapy which was not available in the UK at that time.
This is where we first came across the bell ringing ceremony...
Our Bells
After donating a bell to Royal Manchester Children's Hospital, we set out to donate as many as we could to children's hospitals all over the UK. It soon became apparent that adults wanted to celebrate too and we rolled our offer out to hospitals everywhere.
We offer sponsorship of bells as a way of helping us to raise funds. This also ensures no hospital in the UK has ever been charged for a bell- something we are very proud of.

Sponsor a Bell
As a charity, we can donate bells free of charge within the UK.
We send everything the unit needs to hang the bell, including a template and wall fixings.
We offer sponsorship of our bells as we understand people like to 'give something back' to the units where they were treated, or just like to help others.

Over 450 Bells Donated
Most of these are in the UK but we have sent bells overseas too

We have helped thousands of patients to celebrate milestones during and after their treatments

We are completely non-profit and every penny we raise is spent on bell placement
